About This Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Pune. You will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies for our range of injection moulding machines, working closely with manufacturing and quality teams to bring designs from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and sub-assemblies using SolidWorks / AutoCAD
- Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings and BOMs
- Perform design verification through FEA simulations and prototype testing
- Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams for design-for-manufacturability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for existing machine platforms
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards
Skills & Requirements
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering tolerances
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
